Gender Justice Nevada: Queer Anti-violence Project

Got a message from occasional SCS contributor Jane Heenan regarding the Queer Anti-violence Project of the Gender Justice Nevada organization. The anti-violence project is seeking volunteers and offering a training session on Nov. 5. (Training application details here.)

Details on the Queer Anti-Violence Project:

The Queer Anti-Violence Project provides Southern Nevada with specific victim/survivor services and anti-violence services with a specialization in serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA) persons.

Gender Justice Nevada is a newer organization that works to champion “justice, dignity and respect for Nevada’s trans and gender non-conforming persons and communities.” They offer outreach, education, legal help and more. You can find out more on their website.
