A feminist outpost in the desert.

Because chemo sucks…

Here’s something easy you can do to feel good this week. Why not pick up a new coloring book and box of crayons (or 5 or 12 or…) and donate them to local kids receiving chemo? Carolyn Hayes Uber, President of Stephens Press here in town, is doing a drive to get coloring books and crayons for kids. (We used to work in the same building back when Stephens Press was born. In fact, I was one of the first sample readers for Stephens Press back in the day.) But just to be clear, the coloring book drive is a project of hers, not Stephens. You can drop off books and crayons at her offices during business hours through next week: 1111 West Bonanza Road, Las Vegas, NV 89106. (If you drop it off: Please be sure to say it is for Carolyn.) Come on … it’s for kids with cancer!
